In today’s economy, an accessible, practical and affordable education isn’t just a luxury — it’s a necessity. Luna Community College in Las Vegas, New Mexico, helps students take the next step toward a brighter future with low tuition and hands-on training that leads directly to employment.

Whether you’re changing careers, returning to education after a break or just starting out, Luna offers a pathway that fits your goals and lifestyle.

With a strong focus on student success and career readiness, the college serves as an anchor institution for rural northern New Mexico and a top value for learners of all ages. Even current high school students can get an early jump on their college education by taking dual credit classes.

Accessible, Affordable Education and Real Results

Luna offers an accessible, affordable and high-quality education designed for real-world success. We’re an open enrollment institution, welcoming students with a high school diploma or equivalency.

Tuition is among the most affordable nationally: just $51/credit hour for in-district New Mexico residents, $69 for out-of-district and $132 for out-of-state students. Out-of-district and out-of-state students who enroll in six credit hours or fewer receive a special benefit: they pay the in-district tuition rate.

What truly sets Luna apart is our commitment to quality. You’ll learn from excellent faculty in our accredited programs, ensuring you receive top-tier instruction. To further support your education, we encourage applying for federal and state financial aid, including New Mexico’s excellent Lottery and Opportunity scholarships, and exploring on-campus work.

Financial assistance is also available for programs that offer industry-standard credentials. Our academic and technical programs are directly aligned with workforce needs, ensuring you gain the certifications and training to quickly transition from the classroom to a thriving career. Luna is your smart choice for gaining valuable, career-ready skills while minimizing student debt.
