UNM Anderson School welcomes new Executive MBA Class of 2026: UNM Newsroom
The UNM Anderson School of Management has welcomed its new Executive MBA Class of 2026. Their first courses began June 1, followed by an on-campus immersion week for orientation. This kicked off the new cohort’s 24-month program, which finishes in May 2026.
Their class days consist of two back-to-back online synchronous classes and two on-campus orientation and immersion weeks during the program. The orientation week involved team-building exercises, faculty introductions, resource identification and informative sessions. Throughout the program, students are put into small teams within their cohort to share ideas and experiences to optimize their leadership development.
The new class is dynamic and diverse, with 11 executives, an average age of 43 and 120 years of combined management experience. Most notably, 45% of the cohort are minority students, reflecting Anderson’s commitment to increasing the diversity of the pipeline into senior management.
This group represents various business sectors, including health care, energy, consulting, government and higher education.
“I’m impressed with this program and its impressive national reputation. More so, as a chemist and biology scientist by trade, I need to learn how to position my company for success in the future,” said Amanda Evans. “This program will teach me the business and management skills needed to succeed as an entrepreneur.”
Anderson’s Executive MBA program is designed for busy executives and business leaders who want to balance their professional and personal lives while learning key leadership skills to help them advance their careers. The lessons learned in the program will support these senior-level directors and managers in making innovative, evidence-based, competent and ethical decisions in their work.
“This new cohort is a bright and accomplished group of diverse professionals; they are also highly committed to using the program to help them positively impact their organizations and communities,” said Beverly Bracker, Executive MBA program manager. “Each of the students have specific career progression goals that Anderson’s Executive MBA program will help them achieve by developing a global business perspective and advancing their leadership and strategic decision-making skills.”
